Opening speech

Dear colleagues, students, friends

In 2019, February 23, we turned 25 years old. Over the years, about ten thousand graduates graduated from the university. Currently, Kazakh-Russian International University “planet” is inhabited by five thousand students, undergraduates and students.

The university was formed in the time constantly renewing changes in everything. In education, these are the years of the beginning of global changes in our perception of the World, the years of entry into the universal human civilization. We have had this time - and we are grateful: for the resurrection of the Essence of man. “Blessed is he who visited this world in his ¬ fateful fate,” wrote Great Russian poet F. Tyutchev.

Our university was formed and developed together with a young and independent Kazakhstan. During the years of independence, all spheres of the society of Kazakhstan, especially science and technology, education, information and communication technologies have undergone many reforms, characterized by their mobile embodiment and change. There is no doubt that modern reforms and the development of innovative technologies are a very important factor in the qualitative growth. The university has always tried to fulfill all the wishes expressed by the Head of State in his speech to students and faculty members on August 20, 1998 during the opening of the main building of the university.   By human standards, 24 years old is the age of youth, the flight of thought, and a new start to advancing the heights of Spirit, Mind, and Creativity. As the great Turkish poet Hikmet Ran Nazim wrote, “Youth is a dream. This is faith. This is a feat of exploit. This is the lyrics and romance. These are big plans for the future. This is the beginning of all prospects.”

The concept of “university” based on a clear, realistic and deeply studied. The experience gained over the years allows us to build promising plans for the future.  They are important positions as the creation of new scientific schools and directions, the construction of a new model of the educational process and pedagogical communication, the expansion of the material base in the format “KRIU - CITY.” The main task is to provide students with high-quality knowledge, to ensure the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market. This is facilitated by an innovative model of practice-oriented learning, aimed at the future professional activity of the student and employment. For this purpose, new business units and educational laboratories are being created, as bases for permanent practice and scientific research.

Happiness, well-being, success to all who have been with us these years and today in the creation of our offspring- the Kazakh-Russian International University and in the good further way!
